In 1988 I was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. I was incredibly home sick and had tried a number of different things as a hobby to take my mind off of home. Nothing seemed to stick. Then my aunt & uncle, Sheri & Bernie Miller, suggested that I take over their genealogical research, since they had just purchased the grocery store in Murray, Iowa and would no longer have time to research it themselves. I've always been interested in history so I decided to give it a try.
